Why are your rates different for different times of the year?

Rates vary by season, nights of the week you're staying, and other demand-driven factors. Summer months are of much higher demand than in the off season, so rates are adjusted accordingly for each season. For accurate pricing, please enter the dates you'd like to stay in the booking form and you'll get an instant quote with no hidden extras.

 

Why book directly with us?

Our goal is to have you book directly with us instead of using one of the two major booking platforms. You'll get the same excellent guest experience as if you used one of those sites, while saving significantly on your stay.

When booking directly you save up to 14% in booking fees charged by the booking platforms. You may notice our advertised nightly rate is higher on our website than you'll see on those sites. However, if you do an apples-to-apples comparison of the final cost, you'll see you're saving significantly when booking directly through our website. It is truly a win-win for everybody!

 

How do I know I can trust you?

We're proud to say we've achieved both Superhost and Premier Host status! This means our pasts guests truly enjoyed their stay at our home and left raving reviews.

Is booking through your site safe and secure?

Absolutely. Your credit card is processed through one of the major online card processing platforms, Stripe.com. The entire process is encrypted end-to-end by their advanced security measures. 

 

What if I still have concerns about booking directly?

Our hopes are that our reviews will convince you that we're honest, real people who care about you and your trip. You can also call or text us at the number at the bottom of the page to speak with us directly. You can also email any questions you may have.

If you still have concerns, then by all means please use one of the two big vacation rentals sites to book with us! We understand the trust travelers have with these websites. You'll pay more for your stay, but the peace of mind is worth it for many guests. 

 

Are there any hidden fees or gotchas for wi-fi, laundry, or parking?

None whatsoever! You'll be charged for your trip, 6% Michigan sales tax, a pet fee (if applicable), plus the cleaning fee - that's it! There are no charges for WiFi, laundry, parking, or anything else. We charge the same for one guest or eight guests.

 

Do you charge for pets? What pets are allowed?

Yes, dogs are allowed! We do charge a flat $150 fee if your furry friend(s) join you. The flat fee is for the entirety of your stay - not per day!

We request no more than two medium/large dogs, and no more than three smaller dogs.

Sorry, no cats, ducks, chickens, goats, wombats, kangaroos, or other animals allowed!

 

What is your cancellation policy?

One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation.

Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation.

For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
